'Tis the Season: Giving Back through the Community Giving Fund
Posted by Rekha Skantharaja SVP, Tangram Insurance Services on 27 December 2012
ProSight and Tangram recently teamed up to announce the inaugural year of our Community Giving Fund. We've awarded a total of 25 grants to community-based nonprofit organizations located throughout California, and we could not be more excited.
How to Help Gateway Center
Gateway Center is a 501(c)3 not-for-profit corporation, with an annual operating budget of approximately 3.5 million dollars. Our major source of income is from fees for services, which we receive from state funds. However, these sources are not adequate to fund the total cost of providing quality programs and staff. To make Gateway's dreams a continued reality for our special people, we must make up over 15% of our total budgeted with contributions, bequests in wills, charitable trusts, grants, and fund-raising events.
You can also help Gateway Center by making an electronic contribution to our PayPal account.
Hello online shoppers!
We need your help in reaching our goal of $100,000 for new vans to transport our clients so they can get out to volunteer, work and participate in activities within the community. Please visit Gofundme.com for more information.
Gateway Center has an exciting green recycling program that is not only good for the planet, good for your soul, but it's also good for our nonprofit as well. It's getting harder and harder to recycle the small ink cartridges and many people are throwing them in the garbage unfortunately. Gateway Center will take "any" ink cartridge and recycle it for free. We simply collect the cartridges and send them into an online company and they refurbish them and send us a check. Please note that we cannot recycle toner or laser cartridges.
Interested parties or companies can drop off their cartridges to Gateway Center located at 850 Congress Avenue in Pacific Grove or at our other location at 408 Salinas Street in Salinas.
Thank you for your interest in helping keep our planet green and also helping Gateway with earning some extra income. If anyone has any questions please do not hesitate to contact me.
