Spring Giving Event
Help us raise $50,000 by June 30th to support our improvement initiative. This cycle focuses on restoring our residential kitchen which plays a direct role in creating a safe, welcoming space where adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities can gather, connect and share daily life.
A Turning Point for Gateway – Gateway Center is the primary nonprofit in Monterey County dedicated to serving adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities. Over the past year, under new leadership, we’ve been transforming our programs and facilities to help the people we serve live happier, healthier, and more independent lives.
With the support of our community and donors, we’ve already made meaningful progress:
Installed a new awning at our Salinas program site
Refreshed and improved our main office environment
Transformed our Courtyard in Pacific Grove into a welcoming outdoor space
As both a board member and a family member, I’ve experienced the impact of Gateway Center in the most personal way possible. Our family gives because we believe in continuous improvement—because every upgrade, every investment, directly enhances quality of life. This spring appeal is about building a stronger, safer, and more empowering future for everyone we serve.
—Jim Landman, Gateway Center Board Vice Chair
At Gateway Center, our responsibility is to provide the highest quality of care, and that includes creating spaces people can truly call home and where they can be independent as possible. This investment ensures that individuals we serve have space that reflect dignity, safety, and the ability to enjoy daily life.”
—Mike Gonzalez, Executive Director
