A Day of Celebration and Visibility
Gateway Center of Monterey County was proud to participate in the 2026 Monterey Peninsula Pride Parade, joining community members in celebrating belonging, inclusion, and connection. The parade brought together Gateway Center employees, individuals who call Gateway Center home, families, and community members for a joyful day of celebration and visibility.

The Dedication of Our Team
This special day was made possible by the dedication and heart of the Gateway Center team. Several employees generously volunteered their personal time to participate, ensuring the event was a wonderful experience for the individuals we serve.

The Heart of Our Mission
Creating spaces for connection is a central focus for our organization. Executive Director Mike González reflected on the impact of the event:
“One of my greatest hopes is to create opportunities where people can come together around a shared purpose and truly feel they belong. Community inclusion is at the heart of our mission. Seeing the individuals we support marching alongside our employees—greeted with smiles, cheers, and encouragement from the community—was a powerful reminder that everyone deserves to feel seen, valued, and connected.”
Sincere Thanks
Gateway Center extends its sincere thanks to the Monterey Peninsula Pride organizers for hosting an outstanding event, and to every volunteer who helped make the day such a meaningful and memorable experience.
